"But what do we mean by the American Revolution? Do we mean the American war? The Revolution was effected before the war commenced. The Revolution was in the minds and hearts of the people; a change in their religious sentiments, of their duties and obligations... This radical change in the principles, opinions, sentiments, and affections of the people was the real American Revolution." -- John Adams, letter to H. Niles, 13 February 1818

Quote for the day:
"The rights of neutrality will only be respected when they are defended by an adequate power. A nation, despicable by its weakness, forfeits even the privilege of being neutral."
-- Alexander Hamilton (Federalist No. 11, 1787)
Quote for the day:
"With hearts fortified with these animating reflections, we most solemnly, before God and the world, declare, that, exerting the utmost energy of those powers, which our beneficent Creator hath graciously bestowed upon us, the arms we have compelled by our enemies to assume, we will, in defiance of every hazard, with unabating firmness and perseverance employ for the preservation of our liberties; being with one mind resolved to die freemen rather than to live as slaves."
-- John Dickinson and Thomas Jefferson (Declaration of the Cause and Necessity of Taking up Arms, 6 July 1775)

Let Tookie Die
Murders must die when they are convicted and sentenced to die. I understand mistakes are made in our legal system but he has years to correct it. Based on what I have seen, he did it. I just do not care if he has changed his life.
People say that he is doing good things for kids now but look at all the bad he has done. Let the kids see that when you do bad things, you will be punished even if Hollywood and Rappers want you spared.

Death to Michael Moore
If someone is going to behead an American, why could they not make it Michael Moore? He is an Anti-American in the largest since of the word. We as real Americans should request that we send this @$$ to Iraq to face what he deserves.

WAR! It is not what I want but it is what we need to do. We should have done it years ago but with the whimp Clinton in office, we would never have done it. But when it came to Bosnia, he had no problem sending in troops to fight someone who would not fight back. Clinton’s DemocRAT supports supported his decision to go into Bosnia but they are unwilling to support our President and our troops at this time.
I don’t like war but I think we have been fighting a losing battle the last 12 years to try and control this mad-man through the UN. The UN is nothing more than a bunch of cry-baby nations looking towards a handful of other nations to support them with money and troops. I think we and other powerful nations, such as the UK, should pull out of the UN because there is nothing in it for us. They are just using us and have been for way too many years. It is time for countries like France to stand on their own. We know what happens when France tries to stand on their own! “What country surrenders faster than Iraq? France of course.”
Now that war is upon us, we need to stand up as a nation and support our President and our troops. You may not agree with our actions but I believe that our actions are just and well over due. My only concern is that we will go into Iraq and will leave without removing Saddam from power because the UN will step in and get in our way.
I applaud President Bush for standing by his convictions and going against the UN and the anti-war people and doing what he thinks is right. If Clinton (or for Gods sake, Gore) was President, we would still be sitting on our hands and talking to them like they are people we can have a civilized discussion with.
God Bless our Troops, our country and our President.
